The Tricone XXL cable and connector is a rugged, flexible guitar, instrument and patch cable with capacitance optimised for loss-free treble reproduction over long distances. The matching Tricone XXL jack plug allows solder / gas free connection for low and constant transfer resistance values, while the dual hexagonal crimping will take high tensile forces of up to 230 Newtons.
Also on show will be the new CAT.7 PUR XL 10 Gbit cable, designed for optimal transmission properties over long distances. The SC-Mercator CAT.7 PUR XL has a large wire cross-section plus a high-quality foam/skin PE wire insulation and 100% shielding provided by a CU mesh screen and AL/PT foil-screened wire pairs. Designed for the safe data transfer of Ethersound, digital audio or network signals in mobile use, it's capable of long transmission paths in outdoor applications, and the special full-metal RJ45 connector is also available with a tread-resistant protective sleeve in an XLR design.
Finally, Sommer Cable's quad fibre system for HD transmissions now also delivers LWL solutions through its proprietary HICON roadproof Hi-Fiber Connection System, based on four LC fibre optic lines protected by a rugged, compact metal housing. It consists of a cable plug and a panel jack in the compact D-flange format, which may also be used as a universal cable connector socket for extending and cascading purposes.
