The new version of the DWR-R02D digital wireless 19" rack-mount receiver has a bandwidth of 72MHz in the frequency spectrum from 470MHz to 542MHz. With the three other channel versions, the DWX series now covers a range from 470MHz to 788MHz. The digital microphone platform supports 35 out of 39 European TV channels and is at the forefront of frequency coverage in Europe.
The result is a high level of audio quality with exceptional stability and reliability. In the context of European legislation and the distribution of frequencies and bandwidths, the DWX series offers everything that users will need for the transition from analogue to digital.
Sony has also published version 4.0 of its free Wireless Studio software, allowing complex radio microphone systems to be monitored and controlled remotely on an even more flexible basis. The new software can be used to set group settings for all transmitter functions, so that multiple transmitters can be managed at the same time.
Markus Warlich, product specialist for Professional Audio at Sony Europe, explains: "Sony is constantly developing the DWX Digital Wireless System and consistently implementing customer feedback. We are setting new standards in the field of modern wireless microphone technologies with the features in Wireless Studio 4.0 and the apps".
