At PLASA this year, Sound Department will be demonstrating products from Crest Audio, Community Professional Loudspeakers and Level Control Systems - featuring a live demonstration of the VRAS reverberation system and Sound Advance Systems flat panel loudspeakers. Product launches will includethe new ST Series amplifiers and X-Rack Series mixers from Crest Audio, and new additions to the CPL Installation Series from Community.

Crest’s ST series amplifier is the flagship in a family of ‘elevated efficiency’ amplification. The ST amplifier represents a new benchmark in switching amplification - providing the expected advantages of low-weight and reduced heat, while preserving the sonic integrity for which Crest Audio is known. With the latest in switching technology onboard, this feature-rich product has the contemporary look, feel and sound of a touring class amplifier.

The XR-20 is the first in a line of professional Crest Audio X Series rack mount mixers, which address a wide range of applications. The XR-20 meets the varying needs of project studios, houses of worship, broadcasters, musicians and all facets of live sound reinforcement where it can be used as the primary mixer or as a highly flexible sub mixer.

New to Community’s CPL Installation Series are the CPL26 and CPL28. Outfitted with a pair of 8" low frequency drivers, the CPL28, like the CPL26 (which houses dual 6.5" woofers), employs a two-way design using Community's UC-1 compression driver coupled with a newly-developed, 120° x 60° high frequency horn which can be rotated 90° to facilitate either vertical or horizontal mounting.

Sound Department can be found on stand S15.
