UK - Following the success of his first two restaurants in Willesden Green and Hoxton, David Azouri has taken his concept into west London and recently opened a third Shish in Bayswater.

For the sound system, Shish has once again called in the services of installation specialists, the Sound Division Group. Sound Division's David Graham described the brief: "Given that there was already an existing sound system in the premises when Shish took it over, we weren't required to start from scratch. However, a fair amount of work was needed to bring the installation in to line with the rest of the venue. We completely serviced the existing WORK loudspeakers and Cloud mixer amplifier, and added two DBX 215 dual graphics and a Pioneer PDM603 6-disc multiplay CD player. The restaurant space has been reconfigured into three separate zoned areas so we've provided three Cloud RSL6 devices for remote volume control and music source selection within each individual space. We also installed a very smart 9U rack cabinet with built-in power distribution and cable tray management to house the new elements and keep everything neat and tidy within the manager's downstairs office. The results are highly satisfactory."

Simon Wright, now operations director for Shish on a consultancy basis, agrees. "I've worked with Sound Division on many occasions now, through Schrager Hotels, Titanic and now Shish, and always been very impressed with the results. It's always rewarding to deal with a company that offers both excellent service and good value for money. I'm sure we'll be working together again in the future."
