Based in Southern Germany, Somix Audio Labs is a digital audio development company employing experienced professionals having broad expertise in digital audio, psychoacoustic, digital signal processing, mathematics, analogue and digital electronics, as well as computer hardware, software, and networking technologies. The company is headed up by Dr. Christoph M. Musialik, general manager of Somix Audio Labs and international R&D director of the Soundking Group.
Somix Audio Labs' focus is on hardware and software development, and DSP platforms, including high-speed design and layout, FPGA design, real-time operating systems, and AD/DA converters, and low-distortion analogue front-end components, to provide proprietary technologies and product development across the various Soundking audio brands. In this the company is aided by proprietary DSP configuration design tools, enabling fast prototyping and significantly accelerated product development.
At the press presentation - on Studiomaster's stand on Wednesday 6 April - the company will be presenting the Studiomaster DIGILIVE 24 - Studiomaster's first digital console and a co-development with Somix Audio Labs, incorporating many proprietarily developed design features and technologies.
