Madness at Central Hall, Westminster
UK - SSE Audio has invested in Luminex GigaCore 26i network switches to become one of the largest providers of Milan AVB-compliant networking solutions for major international concert tours and events.
With SSE supplying complex systems from its extensive brand portfolio, it needed to choose a reliable product which could offer a high level of compatibility with its existing inventory.
Avnu Milan-AVB certified switches offer guaranteed interoperability amongst similarly certified devices in a network - such as products by the L-Acoustics, Meyer Sound and d&b audiotechnik brands stocked by SSE.
Keith Sujeeun, assistant technical manager in SSE's Hire division, comments: "SSE always strives to be at the forefront of technology, and the Luminex GigaCore range gives us the ability to offer a Milan-compliant infrastructure at an early stage of its development.
“The GigaCores are purpose-designed for our industry and the switches are so quick to set up or re-configure. Being able to reset them to a default preset saves a lot of time when prepping them to go out on another event."
SSE's Hire division specified Luminex GigaCores for the recent Madness winter UK arena tour which culminated in a triumphant performance at Central Hall, Westminster for the BBC’s high-profile New Year’s Eve 2018 Rock Big Ben Live annual concert, which was broadcast on BBC One.
The GigaCore products were supplied to SSE Audio by the specialist audio sales division of A.C. Entertainment Technologies (AC-ET).
