Hosted at the company's HQ in Redditch, one of the days will focus on using Dante networking with Yamaha CL Series digital mixing consoles and Nexo NXAMP amplification, while the other focuses on Waves plug-ins, including integration with Yamaha digital consoles via the WSG-Y16 SoundGrid interface.
Taking place on 12 February, the Dante networking course examines the close integration which is possible between CL series consoles and Nexo's NXAMP 4X1 and 4X4 Powered TDcontrollers, via Dante.
Jointly developed with engineers from Yamaha, Nexo TDcontrollers provide full integration of speaker and amplifier control, with output capacities that deliver a highly cost-effective solution for both installed and touring applications.
The NXDT104 Dante network card allows CL consoles to be deeply integrated with TDcontrollers via Dante. NXAMP discovery and patching operations (which previously required a computer running Dante Controller software) can be carried out directly from the touch screen display of any CL series console running the latest firmware release.
The course will cover the basics of Dante networking, specifically for the CL series and NXAMP. Delegates will also be able to learn more about CL consoles and their capabilities, as well as having a demonstration of the new Nexo LS18 Subwoofer.
The Waves SoundGrid Solutions Day takes place on 29 January and includes demonstrations of the company's plug-ins with Yamaha digital consoles, using the WSG-Y16 SoundGrid interface.
Together with a switch, a server, a Mac or PC and iLok-authorised Waves plugins, the WSG-Y16 allows users to process 16 channels of audio using Waves software and includes a redundancy and recovery safety net, MIDI control from the console, scalability and expandability.
Both days will feature a buffet lunch for participants, as well as the opportunity to tour SSE Audio Group's Redditch premises. Places for the course are available on a first come, first served basis.
