UK - For the launch of KIVA II, the new compact line array from L-Acoustics, the SSE Sales team is going on tour. The tour will visit three different venues across the country, giving attendees the opportunity to hear the brand new KIVA II system for the first time. To further increase the appeal of the days SSE has invited AVID along to demonstrate its flagship S6L digital console, whilst L-Acoustics will also demonstrate the X-Series Co-Axial range.

The free-to-attend tour dates include:

Friday 28th October at Fly By Nite Rehearsal Complex Redditch B98 8YP

Monday 31st October: Theatre Royal Wakefield WF1 2TE

Tuesday 8th November: University of Westminster, Harrow Campus HA1 3UW

KIVA II is a new ultra-compact modular line source adding 6dB of max SPL versus its predecessor, maximised amplifier density with 16 ohm impedance and a new rugged enclosure material. L-Acoustics will demonstrate the KIVA II including an A-B comparison test with its predecessor the original KIVA. Also on show, the X Series is the coaxial point source range of loudspeakers from L-Acoustics, aimed at installations and stage monitoring applications.

The AVID S6L is a fully modular, scalable live sound mixing system that provides functionality for a range of live sound mixing applications, including front-of-house, monitor, broadcast, theatre, and more. With the latest VENUE 5.3 software, support is provided for the new MADI-192 option card; you can double your channel count for recording, playback and Virtual Soundcheck. AVID Live Specialists will demonstrate the S6L including the latest enhancements brought about by the 5.3 software and the MADI-192 card.

SSE sales director Alex Penn comments: "We're really looking forward to taking the new KIVA II out on this promotional tour. It's a first for us at SSE and we've chosen some really great venues to host these events. It's also the first opportunity for us to see how KIVA II performs - the A-B comparison test between the old KIVA system and the new KIVA II should be particularly interesting."
