Stage Electrics helps The Great Football Giveaway charity
UK - Paul and Sarah Clarke, who run The Great Football Giveaway hosted an event in June to celebrate and thank all their volunteers, friends and donors for their continued support in their goal of delivering footballs and netballs directly into the hands of children from some of the poorest and most rural areas in Africa. Stage Electrics provided a complete technical solution for this outdoor event, which took place at their home in Wiltshire.

Stage Electrics supplied a 3m x 1.7m (12 panels) high performance LED screen to display the England vs. America World Cup football game via a live Sky feed, with the match sound being provided through an L'Acoustics PA system, controlled by a Yamaha LS9.

A 4m x 3m stage and lighting for the live band was also be supplied by Stage Electrics, as well as illuminating the marquee and the picturesque grounds with warm mood lighting, reflecting the celebratory event.

Mark Larcombe, account manager for live events at Stage Electrics comments, "Stage Electrics and the organisers worked closely together with the preparations of this event and our technical crew was onsite to ensure that the event was executed to the highest standard."

Sarah Clarke, co-founder of The Great Football Giveaway charity says,"The event was a celebration of the World Cup in Africa. Whilst the glitz of the world's best players descended on South Africa, we remember the millions of other children living in less fortunate circumstances in Africa. The Great Football Giveaway has sought these children out providing sports equipment in the past and will continue to support them in the years to come."

"Stage Electrics did a professional and slick job, helping to create a great atmosphere for England's first game."

Since the first started in 2006 the charity has successfully delivered over 15,000 footballs and netballs to Malawi, Rwanda, Zambia, Uganda, and Angola. Anew challenge for 2010 will take the charity to Tanzania in September when over 6,000 footballs and netballs will be delivered by volunteers to children living in deprived circumstances.
