Since winning the contract to supply all the loose equipment as part of the £112.8m project ongoing at the RST, Stage Electrics business development manager Andy Elsegood, in conjunction with DiGiCo supplied the top of the range SD7 digital console into the RST, which is due to open its doors this month for a series of preview events and activities.
Stage Electrics technical sales manager for audio Vince Borrelli comments, "With a culmination of a lot of work from Stage Electrics sales team, we have been able to demonstrate and supply the whole range of DiGiCo's SD consoles. Clients from different areas of the industry with varying needs had their expectations met by the DiGiCo consoles, giving them a high quality solution."
The SD8 was the choice of Dave Turner, Managing Director of Bullet Sound based in Stoke on Trent. "We needed a console that was equally at home doing a corporate event or a rock & roll show so the SD8 with its flexibility and ease of use, not to mention the superb audio quality, was the only console that ticked all the boxes for us" says Turner.
Andy Magee, director of South Shields-based Technical KnowHow and Andrew Struley, technical manager of Torch Theatre, Pembrokeshire have both recently invested the SD9 series.
"Over the course of a few weeks we spent a lot of time with Neal Tomlinson, business development manager from Stage Electrics discussing and testing out a variety of consoles available. However when our current system came to the end of its life, we needed a new console straightaway for a production coming up. Neal demonstrated the DiGiCo SD8 and the moment we heard the sound clarity it produced, we knew we wanted a DiGiCo console" commented Andrew Struley.
"We have not used DiGiCo before; the SD8 was incredible, just a dream to use and with the SD9 having all of DiGiCo's impressive internal systems it is just outstanding. We purchased the SD9 and it transformed our less than average system into a quality P.A. - just by plugging it in."
