"We were delighted to be invited to join the Clothes Show Live team once again," commented Steve Dolan, Account Director, Stage One. "Having worked with Paul and the team for over 10 years now it is testament to the hard work we have put into developing and maintaining a close working relationship."
The 400m2 stage was constructed using over 200 of Stage One's stock staging units and was completed with a PVC flooring effect, designed to resemble snow. Thrusting out from the stage was a 16m long catwalk and performance area.
Stage One provided three Qmotion controlled revolves of 8m, 6m and 5m which were embedded into the stage. On top of each was a complicated arrangement of a pair of 6m high interlocking video screens set at right-angles and a stack of several giant scenic presents that were concealedbehind the screens, along with the structure that supported both.
The presents, the largest of which was 5m3, were constructed from wooden frames, covered with a tightly stretched gloss PVC, with the 'lids' of the larger lower presents being solid in order to provide performance platforms.
Finally, concealed doors and ladders were incorporated to provide performer access and one of the presents contained a single person revolve.
