UK - Leading project management company Stagecraft is the first company in the UK to install an innovative new touch screen lighting system created by Zero 88. Stagecraft has been working with Salisbury nightclub The Chapel on the supply and installation of £100,000 of lighting equipment, which includes the new touch screens.

Since early 2003 Stagecraft has been involved in the massive refurbishment project at The Chapel. Project manager Martin Palmer commented: "Lighting can be used in so many different ways in clubs like The Chapel and the system we installed had to be extremely versatile. With so much new lighting technology out on the market we spent a great deal of time researching all the options available."

Linked directly to the Zero 88 Frog Box, the touch screens can be used to recall and edit lighting sequences stored in the Frog Box's memory. Through a remote interface the panels can access information from the Frog Box up to 1000m away. Palmer continued: "The new touch screens play a vital role in the success of the club's new lighting system. Being able to control and edit the lights remotely has made operating the new system so much easier for the club's DJs and lighting technicians."

Nightclub of the Year in 2000, The Chapel has three main areas - The Chapel, The Courtyard and The Soul Room with an overall capacity of 1,300. Stagecraft has been working with the club management and staff on the lighting design for all three rooms and further work in The Chapel is planned for 2004.

Equipment installed at The Chapel so far includes: 36 Pulsar Chroma Spheres, 48 Pulsar Chroma Domes, 12 Pulsar Chroma Lights, 8 Pulsar Chroma Scapes, one Zero 88 Mambo Frog lighting desk, two Zero 88 Frog Boxes, two Zero 88 Frog Screens, one Zero 88 Chilli Pro 4-10 HF installation dimmer, two Rosco 1700 smoke machines, one Rosco Coldflow system, four Pulsar jumbo strobes, one Pulsar rainbow strobe controller, two Light Engineering 4' mirror balls, one Le Maitre pyrotechnic network, Prolyte truss and Custom skeleton UV fittings.
