Compulite will use PLASA 2002 as a preview for its new range of lighting consoles - the world's first consoles to provide what the company calls "a complete lighting workstation". Featuring an integrated CAD package and enhanced paperwork capabilities, the consoles and their software modules are designed to take you from concept to closing night with as little hassle as possible.
Its architecture is built around a unique multi-processor system to enhance stability, computing power, and expandability on the one hand, and provide a powerful user interface on the other. One processor calculates the real-time components of the system and runs on the robust VX-Works platform, while the second processor handles the user interface running on embedded Windows XP providing an immediately intuitive sense of console navigation and the ability to easily integrate future technologies.
Stagetec is highlighting Compulite's new Rave lighting console (previewed at PLASA last year). The Rave is a compact control option for clubs, DJs, Rental companies and venues wanting versatile, cost-effective lighting control. It's the only console in its price range to offer such a comprehensive set of features. It offers simple and quick set-up and operation, plus either manual or fully automated playback. Rave has one DMX output controlling up to 512 dimmers via 100 (conventionals) desk channels, up to 40 intelligent fixtures and up to 20 extra DMX-controlled devices (smoke machines, hazers etc.). Playback devices include 20 playbacks with a fader and control soft key. Editing is quick and easy using the soft-keys, integrated LCD touch-screen, a joystick, tracking libraries, palettes and parameter banks, plus three wheels. A powerful, easy to use effect engine, along with an extensive editable library of pre-built effects, enables setting up amazing shows in a matter of minutes.
Compy Remote: For years, lighting professionals have been requesting a rigger’s remote control with illuminated keys. This brand new product utilises a standard Compaq iPAQ Handheld PC running Windows and special software for remote control of any Compulite 4D or Sabre console via wired or wireless Ethernet. The Compy offers many features not seen in previous 'riggers remotes' including full desk playback functions and a view of all the system displays.
DimNETCompulite Digital dimmers family: Compulite is introducing a line of brand new dimmer related products, enhancing its renowned CompuDIM2000 dimmer cabinets into a whole family.
CompuRACK: Also new from Compulite is CompuRACK, an entry-level 24-channel digital installation dimmer. This combines the computing power of the CompuDIM 2000 cabinet dimmer with high quality toroidal chokes and well laid out, easy to maintain Thyristor blocks, in a compact, wall-mounting cabinet. It offers many features you'd expect to find on higher spec'd products at a very affordable price. The CompuRACK communicates via Ethernet with the entire range of Compulite's DimNet products such as Dimmer Monitor software and the CompyDIM dimmer remote control.
Dimmer Monitor Software: This is a PC-based windows software, communicating with all CompuDIM, CompuRACK and MobileDIM dimmer racks, and providing remote configuration of dimmer rack properties, soft-patch and dimmer attributes, on-line status and error reports and handling, editing and playback control of the rack's 99 backup looks, and running a range of dimmer tests.
