Stagetec also closed a deal at the show to supply Redbridge Drama Centre, East London with two of LSC Lighting’s new iPRO UK dimmers - one of Stagetec’s many launch products at the show. The iPRO is a 12-channel hard-fired digital dimmer - available in several versions - with the new UK version offering twin 15A outlets. The dimmers were chosen by the Drama Centre’s technical resource officer Ray Balcombe, who picked iPRO for their build quality, good range of features and easy operation. The Drama Centre features three facilities - a theatre space, drama studio and a TV studio. It is a busy teaching resource for the many schools and educational establishments in the area, and also produces touring shows with visiting companies as well as having it’s own touring production company. Stagetec installed the iPROs shortly after PLASA for the Drama Centre theatre, and the installation includes a new cord patch system.
Another sale emanating from PLASA for Stagetec was from Loughton-based Terry Tew Sound & Light, a company working across a broad range of markets in the UK including theatre, conference, TV and education. This order was for an LSC e24 flightcased dimming system, consisting of two iPRO 12-channel digital dimmers encased in a rugged, compact flightcase with RCD protection wired to Socapex outlets via a rear mounted Weiland patch bay. The rack also incorporates three protected auxiliary outlets which both appear on the patch and direct out via 16A Ceeform sockets. This rack is the first UK version of the dimmer, built specially for Stagetec’s PLASA stand. It’s been sold at a special ex-demo price as a result.pic- - treated(Redbridge Drama Centre: technical resource director Ray Balcombe with his iPRO dimmers)
