General manager Patrick Almond emphasizes it is the conjunction of both of these developments that has created the perfect storm. "Precisely when the benefits of re-establishing our own European distribution and logistics are coming to fruition, we have introduced a number of new products, at the most competitive end of the market, which have really hit the spot, in terms of feature sets, specs and price. We cannot land the new DRIVE injection moulded cabs and the ClubXS compact mixers fast enough; everything that's already on the water is fast becoming sold out. Additional shipments are being dispatched to catch up with the demand.
"There is also rising demand for our very high performance Venture series compact wood cabinets; in both the self-powered and passive variants. Together, they form an appealing portfolio of products for playback and performance installation applications, offering superior quality over price comparable alternatives from major brands. Also features such as high quality class-D amplification and driver components in the self-powered speakers, and the SD card, USB and Bluetooth connectivity playback on the ClubXS mixers are providing a competitive advantage."
ClubXS and DRIVE were shown at Frankfurt this year, where a number of new products got their European launch. The launch of new competitive PA product continued apace at the recent MIRC Expo where Studiomaster introduced the LIVESYS5 portable micro PA and monitor system.
The LIVESYS5 is a highly price competitive and versatile portable "on the spot" reinforcement solution for all kinds of live events, conferences and conventions, meetings, education, indoor and outdoor activities, and small performances. It also configures as a very useful self-powered / self controlled personal monitor system for all kinds of solo performers, and band members, including keyboard players and drummers, and for DJs.
"The LIVESYS5 is expected to land in September and we have already written significant orders for these," says Almond. "Available stock from the initial shipment is going to be limited, so forward ordering is highly recommended."
