Sunbaba supplied over 800sq.m of digitally printed Ultramesh for AEGON International, which is a combined men's and women's tournament. Three panels were used to brand the main stadia consisting of one for each side and one for the rear, which was made up into one single section. The panels were secured by the edges being connected by heavy duty bungee cord to stretch the panel across the structure while seamless welded flaps hid the bungeed edges so that the tensioning system wasn't visible.
Sunbaba worked alongside rope access specialists Nawrocki Alpin for the install. Rope access allowed the team to carefully attach the branding without the need for heavy duty lifting equipment, which would have put the grass tennis courts where the temporary structure is laid at risk.
Sunbaba's account director Jonathan Booth commented: "When branding large temporary seating structures like the one at AEGON International, to achieve great results the team have to ensure that there are no surface protrusions extending outwards, also there needs to be a straight horizontal beam to tension the branding on to. With support from the client and the scaffolders, Sunbaba and Narocki Alpin were able to install a really great looking scrim, with a wonderful finish."
For the AEGON Championships at The Queens Club, Sunbaba created blue tennis windbreaks to match the AEGON corporate colours. The company used its Blue Austronet fabric and provided 16 18m x 2m Dark Blue 204 windbreaks for AEGON as well as 30 18m x 2m Dark Blue 204 for AEGON International.
