Sunbaba on the finishing line
UK - People taking part in The Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile were left in no doubt that they had arrived thanks to Sunbaba's site branding which included a massive 925m² of PVC and Ultramesh, 570m² of Correx and 30 Knitted Polyester Flags for client Limelight Sports.

The Sunbaba team worked with Limelight Sports to produce the functional signage and gantry branding across the 16 headline cities in England and Northern Ireland.

The branding included start and finish line arches created using PVC panels. Eight of the 16 cities were supplied with PVC panels that were welded together to create double sided banners where the gantry acted as a frame. In other instances single sided panels were used as a gantry wrap.

Directional signage highlighting the running route, VIP areas, water distribution and recycling points were created using Correx. This is a lightweight, robust and weather proof material which can easily be mounted to existing infrastructure with cable ties running though predrilled holes on each of the signs.

To streamline this process and aid the organisers, Sunbaba supplied proof books with each delivery so that the city contact could review exactly what they'd received. Sunbaba also organised and coordinated a dedicated delivery service to the 16 cites over a two day period.

Sunbaba director Jonathan Booth comments, "We aim to reduce the amount of time a production manager has to spend organising the branding, as they will invariably be responsible for organising many other elements of the event. We did this by producing proof books and reports derived from a relational database containing the order details. This provided a quick, visual reference for each of the location specific production teams. We also monitored and itemised any late additions, so the production team could keep track of the deliverables with ease."

Limelight Sports Project Manager Joff Charters adds, "Once again, Sunbaba has proved to be a very reliable and attentive supplier, and delivered a professional and efficient service on what was a logistically challenging nationwide event."
