Tannoy Ltd has appointed Henny Groenendijk as managing director, replacing Alex Munro, who has left the company to pursue other interests. Groenendijk, who was previously managing director of another TGI Group subsidiary, Tannoy Nederland, takes up his position at Tannoy’s headquarters in Scotland immediately. His long-term relationship with Tannoy dates back to 1985 when he started working for Tannoy’s Dutch distributor, having previously worked in retail since1976. A year after joining the Dutch distributor, he bought them out and formed a new company, Tannoy Nederland. Subsequently, in 1992, Tannoy Nederland joined the TGI group.Tannoy Nederland has been an outstandingly successful component part of the TGIgroup, and is currently Tannoy’s fourth largest distributor.
