Coming in 2-, 4- and 8-channel configurations, the EQ Stations are all 2U units featuring the best TC quality AD/DA conversion and the most powerful DSP processing. Each channel includes simultaneously: 6-band Parametric EQ, 29-band Graphic EQ, 3-band Dynamic EQ, Brickwall Limiter and Delay. Internally, EQ Station uses 48-bit processing for wide headroom, analog EQ modelling and no compromise processing. Based on state-of-the-art TC technology, the introduction of the EQ Station range provides a new level of performance previously unavailable in the live sound market, sat the company.
Each EQ Station may be operated directly from the front-panel featuring a high quality quarter-VGA resolution full-colour display and multiple direct-access controls, or from the external PC/Mac editor software via standard TCP/IP based Ethernet. The optional MotoFader-64 remote with 29 high-quality motorized faders (lightweight and only 4U) can be used to directly control up to 64 channels of graphical EQ during live-performances.
At the same time, Tannoy introduced the Ellipse iDP - an intelligent active monitoring system, combining Tannoy's Dual Concentric Wideband technology, with the latest digital processing from TC Electronic. By incorporating DSP technology, networking intelligence and PWM digital amplifiers, the Ellipse iDP will provide complete control over the entire monitoring operation. Preset storage/recall and total acoustic alignment flexibility are all executed with precision via remote control. iDP technology also allows the user to control parameters such as bass management, global level, recall of different preset settings and solo/mute functions in real-time.
The delay lines in Ellipse iDP software allow the user to 'virtually move' speakers, providing optimum monitoring by compensating for poor speaker location. The precision EQs built-in to iDP can help the user compensate for acoustic anomalies in the room. On-board pink noise generators allow the user to 'EQ the room' and adjust the system accordingly.
Also from Tannoy are three versatile subwoofers to complement its recently-launched V Series range of point source, dual concentric sound reinforcement systems. The V series, introduced here at PLASA last year, currently comprises the V8, V12, V15, and V300 speakers. First of the new models is the VS18 DR - a direct-radiating subwoofer which extends the frequency response of V Series systems down to 27Hz, making it ideal for effects in club, theatre, and live concert applications. It utilizes a high-efficiency 457mm (18") drive unit with a 76mm (4") voice coil. Although primarily intended for install, it does come with recessed handles and castor inserts.
Secondly, the VS15 HL is a powerful horn-loaded subwoofer, which delivers 'chest-kicking' LF impact down to 60Hz when used with V Series speakers. The tight, punchy sound will work well in clubs, but will also add depth to a variety of sound reinforcement applications. A high-efficiency 380mm (15") drive unit with a 76mm (3") voice coil is housed in a compact (578 x 555 x 650mm) cabinet.
The third unit, the VS15 BP, is a compact (665 x 440 x 440mm), versatile bandpass subwoofer system, ideal for venues where space is at a premium. It extends the frequency response down to 36Hz and is capable of providing output levels normally associated with considerably larger enclosures. As with the VS15 HL, the VS15 BP utilizes a high efficiency 380mm (15") drive unit with a 76mm (3") voice coil.
