Greece/China - Telmaco, the Greek AV systems integration company, has partnered with Barco to equip the Greek pavilion during the Shanghai Expo 2010. With a combination of 21 events projectors and 16 near seamless LCD displays, they present visitors with a day in the life of a Greek city.

Telmaco is responsible for the design, equipment supply and commissioning of the Greek pavilion. To create this environment, Telmaco used a total of 18 RLM-W6 6,000 lumens WUXGA three-chip DLP projectors and three CLM HD8 8,000 lumens single-chip DLP projectors to create images on screens of various sizes, formats and curves.

"We have been a Barco distributor for Greece and Cyprus since 1978," says Athan Velouzos, market manager museums, VR, simulation from Telmaco S.A.. "We chose to use the RLM-W6 primarily for this installation, because it is the most silent projector available. We want our visitors to enjoy the pavilion rather than to be distracted by projector noises."

In addition, the Greek pavilion features a giant LCD wall constructed with 16 Barco NSL-4601 displays in a 4x4 set-up. The NSL-4601 is a 46" WXGA narrow-bezel LCD display for video wall applications. "With the NSL-4601, we can show our visitors high-resolution quality images from any distance and viewing angle," adds Vassilis Kyriazis, general director of sales & management from Telmaco S.A.. "In addition, the LCD panels are easy to ship and can be build up quickly."
