The ACF will bring together manufacturers, importers and distributors of professional equipment, pre and post production firms, producers, creative talents in the field of image, sound, lighting, special effects, computer generated or virtual images and multimedia, the representatives of service companies working in these fields and Belgian and European official bodies. Stands dedicated to showing off equipment, services and know-how will be spread over the 22,000 square metres of Halls 11 and 12 of the Parc des Exposition in Brussels.
As in previous exhibitions, the AFC aims to be the show for everyone using audio-visual and multimedia communication tools. As tradition has it, one of the crowning events will be the presentation of the Golden Eye professional awards. Major international conferences on the audiovisual occupations will be held covering subject matters such as: electronic filing and retrieving, computer-generated images, the evolution in audio equipment, lighting and laser technology.
New elements for the 2003 show will include professional demonstrations highlighting the new possibilities of hardware designed specifically for a particular show. The International Laser Display Association (ILDA), the worlds largest association of laser professionals, has chosen to stage its annual convention in Brussels, under the umbrella of the ACF.
In hall 11, a special area will be set-aside for exhibitors wishing to put on events, workshops, seminars, colloquiums and conferences and a new Virtuality and computer graphic centre will be set up to demonstrate 2D and 3D computer generated and virtual image production technologies.
The ACF is increasingly the meeting point of technology and production, as well as specialized conferences. The audiovisual scene is developing and changing faster than ever before. This year Hungary (with a major delegation), Italy, the Netherlands, England and France will all be showing off their know-how.
