This interactive exhibit currently touring major agricultural shows across the nation, is focused on demonstrating how Tesco works with suppliers and farmers on a local and national level. The stand aims to help the public to understand more about where their food comes from and demonstrate the high quality of the products. Within the stand there is a range of food sampling areas as well as cookery demonstrations, that showcase how the products can be used simply at home.
The event technical team from Saville Audio Visual have been involved in making this tactile experience a reality and have been closely involved in the design and delivery of the event. The exhibition features a series of engaging interactive displays throughout.
At the heart of the audio visual system is the company's latest hire stock acquisition, a new Avolites Ai series digital media server, responsible for playing out multiple digital content streams on demand. The team have also programmed turnkey interactive content to run on a number of Tesco Hudl tablets for young and old visitors alike to engage with.
Ruth Mason, from Tesco explained, "We have made a significant change to our attendance of agricultural shows in 2014, by making the stand more interactive and attending seven shows across the summer.
"The new stand format has allowed us to interact with the public as well as engage with our farmers. The sampling station and game elements of the stand has been a big hit with children visiting and has allowed us to have a platform to show people where their food comes from."
Samantha Carroll, Saville project manager for the event explained, "It has been an intense six weeks for all the team involved and it is amazing to watch a plot in a field evolve into this truly interactive experience. People can sit and watch a cooking demonstration, experience the culinary delights the local suppliers are sampling, or trying to beat the best score on the Hudls. It's been amazing to be involved with the project right from the concept and we are proud to be part of this creative team and everything they have achieved."
