The new system features a pair of Community SLS920 loudspeakers covering the main seating area, with the low frequency component provided by an SBS45 subwoofer in front of the stage. Two Community iBOX Series i2W8 loudspeakers provide front-fill coverage.
"The sound pressure levels we can achieve with the Solutions Series are absolutely incredible," says Charles Hatcher of Lewisburg, WV-based Alpha Music. "The voicing of the drivers provides seamless coverage throughout the entire venue."
Hatcher's team worked alongside construction crews as the historic venue underwent structural reinforcement and remodelling to create public access to the balcony and mezzanine areas.
"We've used the Solutions Series loudspeakers on previous projects, and we were confident that they would fit the bill here," says Hatcher. "When the new owners first heard the new system, they were grinning from ear to ear."
Since reopening, the Ritz has received overwhelming support from the local community. In addition to offering live entertainment and movies, the facility is also rented out for parties, conferences and other events.
