All flights to Frankfurt full! The annual ProLight + Sound gathering looks set to be busier than ever. Judging by the number of press releases and product launch invitations received at LSI, visitors and exhibitors are in for a hectic few days.

Meyer Sound has announced that professional audio veteran Dave 'Wiggy' Wiggins has joined the company as its director of marketing for Europe. In this newly created position, Wiggins will be responsible for planning and executing strategic marketing efforts and will work closely with Meyer Sound's marketing department in Berkeley and with the sales force throughout Europe.

Meanwhile, another major North American loudspeaker specialist is ramping up its European activities - Toronto-based Adamson has launched Adamson Scandinavia, so expect some serious marketing activity there.

In Italy, The organisers of Show-Way 2008, the new trade show which debuted in February at the Bergamo trade fair centre, have said that the show's first edition has proven the aims of the exhibitors and visitors, attracting large numbers of important business sector players during the three days of the event.

On a negative note, Marquee Audio is in administration. The Shepperton-based supply, distribution and install operation which has been in business for 20 years, is understood to have been experiencing financial difficulties.
