Congratulations to Martin Audio's long-serving finance director, Anthony Taylor who has been appointed to the role of joint managing director with immediate effect. "The move, warmly welcomed by Martin Audio's parent company Loud Technologies, is seen as strategic succession planning, although current CEO and managing director David Bissett-Powell, who recommended the appointment, says he has no thoughts of standing down at present," says the official release.
We're getting much news from South Africa at present, reflecting the region's growth and development into an attractive market sector. The latest report is that Johannesburg-based DWR Distribution has been appointed as the official South African distributor for ArKaos, the Belgium-based digital media control technology and software provider.
Another significant growing market is the Czech Republic where telecommunications specialist Grape SC has been awarded the contract for the centrally controlled sound distribution system to be installed at the Klinovec-North ski resort, namely the largest ski centre in the Czech Erz mountain range.
And finally...Over to the Daily Telegraph: "After decades of embarrassment with its Eurovision entries, France has come up with a controversial wheeze to earn beaucoup de points in this month's contest. The country famous for its fierce pride in the native tongue is to enter a song written almost entirely in English for the first time."
