Live on Line - U2 have broadcast an entire live show via the video sharing website YouTube. Although 96,000 people turned up to see the show at the Pasadena Rose Bowl in California, many times that number were expected to have watched it online. As he took to the stage, lead singer Bono said: "Thank you Los Angeles. Thanks to everyone watching on YouTube all over the world - seven continents."

Cancelled Concerts - Sir Elton John has cancelled his concert at Wembley Arena tonight (Tuesday), the third gig he has been forced to shelve after contracting flu. Promoters said it is "hoped he will make a speedy recovery". A concert in Liverpool on Wednesday is still scheduled to go ahead. The singer scrapped Friday's gig in Sheffield and Saturday's in Newcastle after he was told to rest by doctors. Promoters are trying to reschedule the Wembley concert for a date in December. They will also try to reschedule the dates at Sheffield Arena and Newcastle's Metro Radio Arena.

Q Awards (1) - Lady Gaga and Lily Allen have scooped prizes at the Q Awards, edging out rock bands including Kings Of Leon and Coldplay. Allen's single The Fear won the best track prize, beating Kasabian's Fire and Arctic Monkeys' Crying Lightning.

Frankie Goes To Hollywood were given the Classic Song prize for Relax. Released 25 years ago, the song was banned by BBC Radio 1 when it first came out. The band's frontman, Holly Johnson, told BBC News, "25 years ago I came here to the Grosvenor House Hotel to accept the BBC Radio listeners' award for Relax, even though they couldn't actually listen to the record. So I think it's quite interesting that the song has stood the test of time and is being honoured here today."

Rock bands persevered in the more traditional categories, with Sheffield's Arctic Monkeys scooping best live act, while Kasabian picked up best album for their number one CD,Fire.

Q Awards (2) - Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has admitted he has spoken to festival organiser Michael Eavis about performing at Glastonbury next year. Speaking to BBC 6 Music at the Q Awards, he said, "I've just been talking to Michael. There's a place for me there, but I have no idea who with." Plant picked up the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. Next year marks the 40th anniversary of the already sold-out event in Somerset.
