Voices Off - The 11-date tour for The Voice UK Live has been cancelled due to a lack of ticket sales. The gigs were due to feature eight of the show's finalists. The tour was to begin at the Bournemouth International Centre on 12 September and was then due to visit venues in Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, London, Glasgow and Sheffield. In a statement, a spokesperson said, "Unfortunately, The Voice UK Live has been cancelled due to lack of ticket sales. Customers are advised to contact their point of purchase for ticket refunds." The news comes as the show was criticised for failing to attract viewers.

Blown Away - Sir Elton John had to cut short his concert at a new seafront arena in Blackpool because of the threat of strong winds. Almost two hours into his set at the Blackpool Tower Headland arena, he told the 11,000 crowd they had to leave. The show, which started half an hour later than scheduled due to the weather, was the first at the venue opposite Blackpool Tower. Sir Elton apologised to the crowd and said he would "make it up" to them.

Web News - Broadway musical Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark has celebrated its one-year anniversary since the show officially opened at New York's Foxwoods Theatre. After undergoing a lengthy preview process with a total of 182 performances, numerous upheavals among its creative team and various injuries to different company members, the musical continues to do brisk business, taking in $1,489,655 at the box office and playing to more than 89% capacity for the week ending June 10. It celebrated its first anniversary on June 14.

"Reaching this milestone is made so much sweeter by the knowledge that we'll be marking the occasion alongside the show's die-hard fans," the show's producers Michael Cohl and Jeremiah J Harris said. "Without such enthusiasm for the production, there is no way we'd be here celebrating."

Scott Johnson - Radiohead are said to be "shattered" by the death of Scott Johnson, who was killed when a stage collapsed before their show in Toronto.The drum technician, from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, was setting up for the band on Saturday when the top part of the stage fell on him. Johnson had worked for other British bands, including Keane and White Lies. "We will miss him very much," said Radiohead's drummer Phil Selway. "He was a lovely man, always positive, supportive and funny. He was a highly skilled and valued member of our great road crew. Our thoughts and love are with Scott's family and all those close to him."
