Hard Rock - Bruce Springsteen has agreed to return as a headline act at London's Hard Rock Calling festival despite organisers pulling the plug on his show last year after it over-ran. He will play again with The E Street Band at the event's new location at the Olympic Park this summer. Kasabian will also headline, playing their only UK festival. Other performers over the final weekend in June include Paul Weller, The Black Crowes and Klaxons.

Late Show - Teen pop idol Justin Bieber angered parents by emerging onstage for a concert at London's O2 Arena almost two hours late. While the 19-year-old singer's young fans were kept waiting, frantic parents converged on the venue expecting to pick up their children. It follows reports Bieber's gig in Nottingham on Saturday also began late. Fans tweeting from inside the O2 said there were boos from some in the crowd almost an hour before he emerged.

The venue apologised for the late start via its Twitter feed saying, "Justin Bieber is now on stage and apologises for the lateness of his show. This morning (Tuesday) it tweeted that it will be "exploring all available options to ensure this doesn't happen again".

Now booking - West End musical Jersey Boys, which celebrates its fifth birthday this month, has extended its booking period until March next year. The show, at the Prince Edward Theatre, is now booking until March 2, 2014 and has also announced a new ticket deal for pensioners. Under this deal, pensioners will be able to buy top price tickets for £27.50 for Sunday performances.

No Strike - A dispute between union BECTU and Ambassador Theatre Group that saw theatres around the UK threatened with strike action has been resolved. The two parties met on Monday and were able to settle a dispute that had seen the trade union threaten to ballot members over strike action affecting 41 theatres around the UK. This included 12 in the West End.

Evita on Tour - Marti Pellow is to play Che in a new touring production of Evita. Bill Kenwright's production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical will open at the New Wimbledon Theatre on 15 May, where it runs for a week. It will then tour the UK to venues including Milton Keynes Theatre, the King's Theatre in Glasgow, the Empire Theatre in Liverpool and the Mayflower in Southampton.
