Rebecca Quigley, chief executive of producer Stage Entertainment UK, said the show had been well received "but it seems that isn't always enough...The West End can be an unpredictable place as the closure of a number of high profile productions recently has shown."
Announcing the closure, Nigel Hall of Cowell's production company Syco Entertainment, said: "Alongside Stage Entertainment we'd like to thank the cast and crew who have worked so hard on this show. To everyone at Really Useful Theatres and the ever supportive staff at the London Palladium, and everyone involved in I Can't Sing! I'd like to say a huge thanks and the very best of luck with their next venture."
Double Act - Beyonce and Jay Z are embarking on on a live 16-date tour together in the US. Their On the Run Tour: Beyonce and Jay Z will see the husband and wife team perform dates from 25 June until 5 August. The hugely successful couple were recognised in January as Billboard's most powerful people in music. They also hit headlines after their raunchy performance of Beyonce's hit Drunk in Love, which opened this year's Grammys ceremony. One dollar from each ticket sale will be donated to Jay Z's self-named Shawn Carter Foundation which support students in higher education.
In The Round - London's Roundhouse venue has announced a new summer arts festival which will include a first performance of Imogen Heap's album Sparks. The festival will also include a world premiere of the score from Oscar-winning film There Will Be Blood by Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood who will play alongside the London Contemporary Orchestra.
Sinead O'Connor will also perform for the Roundhouse Summer Sessions, running from 24 July to 24 August. Another highlight will be an excerpt from the new Balletboyz production, Young Men, which will premiere at Sadler's Wells in January 2015.
Maybe Not - Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis has tweeted to confirm that Oasis are not playing Glastonbury this year. Bookies had suspended bets on the band playing after Liam Gallagher sent a cryptic series of tweets, using letters to spell out the name of his former band. This year's Saturday headliner still hasn't been announced. It's 20 years since the release of Oasis' debut album Definitely Maybe.
