Over 150 schools with pupils of all ages have subscribed to the project, which is proving so successful that schools outside of the catchment area are now also interested in coming on board. The contract covers the repair of AV equipment including TVs, videos, DVD players, OHPs, slide projectors and a range of audio equipment. Tiger AV guarantees an engineer on-site within three working days of a fault being reported, thereby minimizing any 'down-time' of AV equipment.
Tiger AV's technical director, Tony Crossley said: "There are a number of reasons for the success of this contract. The first being our flexibility; in the fact we offer a range of fixed annual fees depending on the size of the school, which in turn offers value for money for the schools." He continued: "The second is the amount of man power we are able to dedicate to the contract meaning that we can guarantee a quick turn-around time for repairs."
The company has also instigated an online fault reporting service, meaning they can contact the school within minutes of a fault being reported. Not only has this proved very popular, it is also a useful tool for getting accurate information about the equipment and precise fault details. "Before our engineer is dispatched, we can check with manufacturers and also our own archives to see whether this type of fault has occurred before. Our engineers can plan the visit, taking any necessary and specialist tools and spares along. The benefit to this is that more repairs can be carried out on-site, ensuring any disruption to educational AV equipment is, as far as possible, minimised." Tony added.
Mary Smith of Fallibroome High School, Macclesfield said: "We're extremely happy with the service Tiger AV provides to help us maintain a high standard of AV equipment in our school. What's more, Tiger AV is very efficient in terms of response and call-out time and the engineers are always pleasant and helpful."
