Tim Gray - an accomplished gigging musician and FOH engineer
UK - Source Distribution has announced a further expansion of its salesforce through the appointment of Tim Gray as commercial audio sales manager.

This newly created position is in direct response to Source's growing presence in the commercial audio market sector, and will have particular emphasis on the PreSonus StudioLive AI range of digital mixers and active PA loudspeakers, Genelec's AV Install series of loudspeakers, RØDE's live sound and headset microphones, Eventide digital effects processors and outboard products from Universal Audio, API and Lynx. Based in the field and covering the whole of the UK, Tim's role will be to develop and manage a growing network of live sound dealers, rental companies and AV installers.

Gray started his career in technical sales at Shuttlesound, progressed to the role of sound reinforcement manager at Arbiter (with responsibility for the portfolio of Harman brands including JBL, DBX and AKG) before joining Tannoy as area sales manager.

As an accomplished gigging musician and FOH engineer, his technical knowledge and natural sales instinct is reinforced by his long experience of effectively being an end user for the products he's involved with - making him perfectly equipped to take on this role. As well as having close ties with the principal live sound dealers and rental companies, Tim has a wealth of experience in liaising with audio consultants, architects and clients and understanding their goals and requirements.

Howard Jones, Source's director of distributed brands said, "Tim's joining Source at a really exciting stage of our development. 2013 saw another year of double digit growth for us, and we see Tim's business development skills as a springboard to yet more success in a market sector that's increasingly important to us. We feel that we've got a really interesting product offering for the Commercial Audio market, and with Tim's experience and connections we believe that Source's future has just got a whole lot more exciting."
