From its base on Stand 8.0 F46 in Hall 8 of the Messe Frankfurt complex, TOA will showcase a new range of flat-panel loudspeakers - marking the first time the company has offered such low-thickness transducers and extending even further the possible applications for TOA's core technologies.
"Last year in Frankfurt we were the first manufacturer to show loudspeakers that were certified to the new pan-European EN54 standards for fire safety," says Brett Downing, sales & marketing director, TOA Europe. "This year we are extending our loudspeaker range by offering flat-panel designs for the first time - the product of years of extensive R&D by our hugely experienced audio engineering team in Japan."
Downing is staying tight-lipped on the exact nature of the new designs but is promising they will be only the beginning of a fresh wave of innovations to come from TOA in the months and years to come.
"We believe our long-term investment in audio and product research is second to none in the industry, and the results of that investment will continue to enhance the breadth of our product offering," Downing continues. "At ProLight+Sound we will not just show off our new loudspeakers but talk to our dealer base about the new integration possibilities offered by our PA/VA signal management, processing and amplification platforms, which are also now EN54 certified to ensure that the latest safety standards are met."
