Completing the solution the world's first EN 54-24 certified speakers includes the TOA PC-1867FC flush-mounted ceiling and the BS-680FC wall-mounted public address speakers. TOA has also introduced a fully EN 54-4 certified power supply with the VX-2000DS at its centre.
"We are proud to be at the very forefront in embracing EN 54 certified products to the market. TOA has always had a strong record for standard compliance and we are thrilled to demonstrate our competences and extreme quality standards once again with our new line up," says Wolfgang Pein, Director, German Sales at TOA Europe.
"The first total solution, comprising speakers, PA/VA central equipment and power supply, demonstrates our commitment to the market and also to our important partners across Europe. TOA firmly believes that these new regulations will change the face of the industry for voice alarm equipment in European and international markets.
"An increasing importance for fire detection and alarm systems in combination with voice alarm systems will pave the way for greater public security. We will be continually offering guidance on the EN 54 standard for our distributors, installers and users in order to help them in planning future systems and investments in compliant products."
EN 54 stipulates the product and testing requirements for voice alarm components in fire detection and alarm systems. It aims to improve the communication of installed systems with the outside world - users, installers, fire men and, most importantly, the public. Also, EN 54 states the availability of system functionality in the most adverse or challenging of operating environments.
