Tom Wilkes will focus predominantly on managing the hire aspects of the various markets in which WL works
UK - To support its continuing development, White Light has appointed Tom Wilkes as business development manager.

In this role, Tom will focus predominantly on managing the hire aspects of the various markets in which WL works. He comments, "I am absolutely delighted to be joining WL at such an exciting time. Whether it's corporate events, broadcast, education, trade, retail, or themed attractions, we have a strong reputation in each of these fields and this is something I will be looking to further strengthen."

Tom joins from Vision SL, a technical production company that he founded in 2009. A technical solutions company, Vision SL began by supplying lighting and audio to various bars and clubs. It then progressed into supplying events and festivals before the company began to specialise in video projection and LED mapping. As part of Tom's involvement, Vision SL will become part of WL.

Tom states, "Joining WL seemed like the next natural step for both myself and Vision SL as a company. We are aware of WL's position in the video mapping industry, from their work on ITV Sport broadcasts to their recent investment in the Christie Boxer Projectors. Their desire to invest in the latest technology and provide their customers with the very best service possible reflects the values of Vision SL."

He adds: "We have such a strong relationship with our current Vision SL customers that this is something I want to continue as we move over to WL. By continuing our relationship, this simply means that we can continue to offer them a great service, with the additional resources of WL."

Tom will be part of the WL team present at this year's PLASA Show at Olympia London, which takes place on 18-20 September. WL will be showcasing on Stand G40.

Bryan Raven, WL's managing director, comments, "We are absolutely delighted to have Tom joining the team here at WL. The enthusiasm and experience he has will prove vital and we're looking forward to him nurturing our existing relationships as well as developing new ones."
