Since its launch in 2009, the Linea Focus series has proved popular for both mobile and fixed installation applications, particularly in environments with challenging acoustics. The design of the loudspeakers enables their vertical sound dispersion characteristics to be directed towards specific audience areas and remotely controlled in real time, from a central location, without any need to mechanically alter the speaker's position.
The Linea Focus family currently includes four models ranging from the LFI-120 with 8 high-performance speakers, 8 separate amplifiers and DSP processors, through to its top-of-the-range 4.5 metre LFI-450 featuring 32 speakers, 32 separate amplifiers and DSP processors.
A single piece of control software (Fohhn Audio Soft v3) is required for real-time adaptation of the speaker coverage, in precise 0.1 degree steps, meeting virtually any performance requirement. Fohhn's 'Two Beam Technology' enables the Linea Focus speakers to generate two separate beams in their vertical dispersion range, allowing different audience areas (such as stalls and gallery) to be simultaneously targeted, without any reduction in distance coverage, or loss of quality. A specially developed algorithm also enables the suppression of side lobes in the speaker beam, minimizing the effects of unwanted room reflections and dramatically improving speech intelligibility.
Primarily aimed at worship venues, conference halls, public buildings and fixed install or mobile AV applications, the speakers' slim design, low weight and electronic control functionality enables them either to be mounted flat on the wall, or installed directly in the wall, ensuring perfect integration into a range of architectural settings.
