The redesigned medium duty fold flat truss, the fixed catwalk truss for permanent installations and the value engineered, industry standard trusses that form the Element range, all attracted considerable interest, but it was the Ballast Truss, a practical solution to the issue of stability of outdoor delay towers and roof structures, that won the vote. Peter Hind (Total Structures' VP engineering) accepted the award at the ET Live event on Saturday evening in front of a packed crowd.
Total Structures has established itself as one of the most innovative aluminium fabrication companies in the entertainment industry today. Along with the development and launch of four new products at LDI, 2004 has seen Total Structures design and fabricate a number of high profile structures including the Acoustic Canopy at the Hollywood Bowl, which has attracted many plaudits from around the world.
