Trantec's S6 system - launched at PLASA09.
UK - Exhibiting at the PLASA09 show in London last week, Trantec has launched its new S6 Wireless System, which it says "is taking the 19" 8-channel concept to a new higher level".

The rack-mounted S6 receiver comprises eight receiver modules, internal antenna distribution,headphone monitor, and USB connectivity - and also incorporates a comprehensive user interfaceon the front panel allowing the user to configure and monitor all channels, with or without anexternal PC.

When used in stand-alone mode, the operator can modify frequencies, user names, and mutelevels. RF levels, AF levels and battery status can be viewed and individual audio channels can bemonitored through the headphone output. The frequency set can also be downloaded to thetransmitters via an infrared port. Under PC control, the system can be monitored remotely givingthe additional functionality of RF walk tests, and RF spectral analysis.

Based on Trantec's award-winning technology, the S6 transmitter has been designed to fulfil thedemands of today's professional offering a massive 80MHz RF bandwidth as well as a cost-busting10+ hours from a single AA cell. The S6 System is also fully compatible with the existing S6000beltpack and handheld transmitters.

Trantec's head of sales and marketing, Mark Parkhouse says: "The S6 System is now shippingand there will be special offers at the PLASA Show. We are particularly proud of this latest productand believe that we have a system that will not fall foul of any future frequency legislation. To cope with imminent regulation changes the system is 'Channel 38 ready', operating from 606MHz to865MHz."
