Adapted from Horace McCoy's legendary novel 'They Shoot Horses Don't They', the show is directed and produced by Robert Hossein and has attracted rave reviews as the first stage adaptation of this ground-breaking novel.
Trantec's Head of R&D, Richard Ganley, collaborated with leading French rental company Dispatch from the outset to ensure that the system integrated seamlessly with sound designer Julius Tessarech's sophisticated design and met his specifications.
The 40-channel S6000 system was specified because of its wide band frequency agility. Trantec supplied a system operating between 735-806 MHz. The possibility of operating on any frequency over such a wide operating range was seen as invaluable when this system was specified.
The system frequency plan was arranged in two sets, one of 16 and one of 24, allowing Trantec to use two sets of narrow band antenna amplifiers, which counter possible intermodulation issues.
Tessarech commented: "I had heard and read about the S6000 and really wanted to use it on this show. Trantec's team were great - they spent time going through the nuances of the system and providing the back up the sound team needed to operate the system. This is a challenging production, which has been augmented by the S6000 clear sound and versatility. The miniature transmitter is also very popular with the cast."
