Chimera Electronics Corporation was responsible for the external lighting specification and installation. The client's wish was to use lighting to enhance the look and style of the building, as well as having a colour-changing system to create a subtle and inviting atmosphere. Tryka's L.E.D. luminaires were selected for the project: Module 3s with 25º optics are used to highlight the brushed metallic columns along the patio area. The versatile MR16-sized units came into their own here, as they had to be retrofitted into existing industry standard MR16 housings. Module 12s (IP67-rated in-ground fixtures) with 25º optics, up-light the entrance area and signage making a welcome entrance. A Tryka DMX Smart Card Controller provides overall control of the lighting.
Mike Fraser, Chimera Electronics president, said: "We knew most of the fixtures would have to be retrofitted into existing housings and Tryka's products provided the perfect solution to that. The whole system was easy to install and was up and running from the word go."
