UK - tsg have recently completed the installation of a promedia mms hard disk system for Eldridge Pope at their Que Pasa site in Corn Street, Bristol. Formerly one of the company's Toad sites this takes the number of Que Pasa sites utilising promedia mms to 16 nation-wide.

Multi-purpose in use, promedia mms runs Que Pasa's bespoke music and music video profile and controls all aspects of the sites entertainment offer be it scheduling on-screen graphics, programming lighting effects, controlling what is seen on each screen, and adjusting the audio presets throughout the trading week. And in addition to this, promedia mms ably assists the on-site DJ with its integral fully featured touch-screen DJ console.

As well as supplying the promedia mms system, tsg specified and installed a robust screen and lighting system and also tweaked and brought up to date the existing audio system.

Paul Beadle chief executive for Eldridge Pope says: "I believe that with this system we are at the cutting edge of the move to 100% digital music programming particularly in respect of the DJ's operating environment. Gone are the piles of expensive hardware within the booth, only the mixer remains alongside a keyboard, mouse and monitor. Gone also are the DJ's record/cd collection, replaced by a substantial collection of digital audio and video files all of which have been selected to match our own unique music profile; thus affording us a degree of control over music programming that we have long dreamt of having. In the process we have not restricted the DJ's mixing abilities technically, as the system provides him with the facility to beat match if he wishes to. As ever the true test of a DJ is playing the right song at the right moment, not necessarily how technically adept he is, and this system is more than adequate to allow him to fulfill that task and do it within a controlled music environment that is mapped to target our customer profile."

Nick Freeman; tsg's national account director says: "Working on the Que Pasa sites has been both challenging and rewarding. Paul Beadle is an informed, hands-on client with a clear understanding of how he wants each site to feel regarding its entertainment programme, whether that be vision, audio or lighting. tsg have enjoyed working on these projects and we believe that we have fully understood his requirements, and in doing so, have created an identifiable atmosphere that supports all of his weekly trading needs."

tsg have also created and scheduled bespoke graphics for all of the Que Pasa locations, in particular screen graphics promoting the popular Polecats pole dancing competition.
