For Saturday night's headline act, Jorge Ferreira, crowds were estimated at anything up to 22,000, and it was a similar story for Louisy Joseph and Quim Barreiros on Sunday night. Handling all the audio requirements for the festival stage was local rental company and APG Uniline partner, SNO Technique. SNO Technique supplied a powerful Uniline line array system for FoH and an SMX15 monitor system.
"We were all totally bowled over by the number of people who came," observed SNO Technique's Jean-Francois Fougeras. "We were expecting a maximum of 15,000 if the weather was good, and we ended up with over 20,000. I'm delighted to say that the Uniline system handled it all effortlessly. The organisers were truly impressed by the quality of the sound and the coherence of the coverage throughout the listening zone. It didn't matter where you were standing - the quality of the sound was the same whether you were 20m from the stage or 80m. Even if you couldn't see the stage, it still sounded fabulous."
SNO Technique opted for two hangs per side; one of 12 UL210 mid/high cabinets and the other of six UL115 low frequency enclosures supplemented by eight TB218S subs arrayed below the stage and four DS12S cabinets acting as front-fills. A total of 12 SMX15 were used as stage monitors.
SNO Technique is one of the growing number of Uniline partners throughout France, and has recently boosted its Uniline inventory by a further four UL210s and 12 UL115s. The company is also one of the first customers to take delivery of the new DX15 multipurpose loudspeakers that were launched at ProLight + Sound in Frankfurt this year.
