More than 80 professionals attended the event, which featured a seminar, workshop, and Q&A session with White Light's technical experts. Guests were also treated to a gourmet breakfast provided by caterer Peyton Events, an approved supplier across the UVL group.
White Light's project manager Jason Larcombe and head of audio Lee Dennison each spoke on topics including lighting, audio, and video for events. The White Light panel also discussed best practices for safe working and important considerations for technical teams working in unique and historic spaces.
"In the fast paced world of events, we are constantly pushing the envelope for what is possible - that's never truer than with technical elements," said White Light director Richard Wilson speaking at the event. He continued, "With the day, we wanted to help demystify the technology and give venue teams the chance to connect with our technical experts. They can now speak with confidence about these elements and better advise clients on adding lighting, sound, and video to their events."
Natasha Halford, head of events at the National Gallery, commented, "We are enormously grateful to Richard and the White Light team for their insightful talk this morning, which gave us all a greater insight into many facets of technical production, most significantly the opportunities new technologies can offer venues and clients."
