AC-ET supplied the University of Cumbria with a channel 38 compliant system
UK - A.C. Entertainment Technologies (AC-ET) Ltd's Audio division recently supplied the University of Cumbria with a quantity of channel 38 compliant Sennheiser wireless microphone and in-ear monitoring systems for their busy Performing Arts and Media courses.

By 31 December 2012 all production industry wireless radio microphone and IEM system users were required by law to switch to the new UK wide channel 38 (606-614 MHz) frequencies in the UK.

Understanding the importance of the digital switchover, University of Cumbria's senior sound technician, Brian Brooks was keen to ensure the University complied with the new regulations. He therefore approached A.C. Audio, who provide a comprehensive digital switchover help and advice service for anyone in need of assistance.

Having successfully used Sennheiser radio microphones at the University for a number of years, Brian was naturally attracted back to the brand when looking for a channel 38 wireless solution. He explains he has always found Sennheiser products to be "very reliable and robust".

Included in the package from AC-ET were three Sennheiser eRacks (consisting of four EW112 lapel systems), one in-ear monitoring system, four SK100 handheld transmitters, six EW112P lapel systems with portable receivers and 12 ME3-EW head worn condenser microphones.

Brooks was impressed with AC-ET's fast, efficient level of service, which he comments was "excellent with friendly communication". He adds that "Not having purchased channel 38 equipment before, we found AC-ET to be very helpful and knowledgeable throughout the entire process."

The new channel 38 compliant Sennheiser wireless systems will be used across the University's two busy performance theatres, supporting a range of courses, lectures and productions.
