Van der Voort has worked as a freelance live sound engineer throughout Europe since 1994, representing many of the major rental companies. In 1998 she was senior sound engineer for the start-up of the joint venture between MTS (a French rental company) and Philing Live (a Belgian rental company), located in Marseilles. While there she was responsible for the design of multiple sound systems involved in the FIFA World Cup.
Her duties will include Venue system demonstration and training throughout Northern Europe, and providing full distributor support. "This is a fantastic opportunity, as I am joining Digidesign at an exciting stage in the evolution of the Venue," she said.
