The move to Butler Works will also enable VCL to offer better on site facilities for clients
UK - Visual Connection (VCL) has announced it is expanding its operation with a move to new premises in Butler Works, Lancaster, UK. VCL supplies specialist lighting and media equipment, as well as being a leading designer and installer of visual technology for its entertainment clients all over the world, including cruise lines, TV networks and stage shows.

VCL will be relocating to share office and workshop space at Mainstage Ltd, cementing its long-standing relationship with the firm, one of the UK's foremost suppliers of stage equipment and effects.

The two companies have already worked together extensively, collaborating on projects for existing VCL clients, with Mainstage engineers building bespoke equipment to VCL specifications for cruise client Holland America Line. With VCL's move, the two firms look forward to working on future projects where clients can benefit from their shared expertise and resources.

The move to larger premises is vital for VCL to continue to meet increasing demand for the supply and service of specialist lighting and video equipment. Mainstage's large, modern workshop means VCL has access to more space to set up, test and service equipment on larger contracts for its growing client base.

The move to Butler Works will also enable VCL to offer better on site facilities for clients. There are plans to install a state of the art pre-programming studio to pre visualise lighting and media design for new shows, and the growing firm will also be able to take advantage of Mainstage's extensive meeting room and catering facilities during this process.

VCL managing director, David Horner said, "This move is fantastic news for VCL - it gives us the platform we need to really boost our capacity. I am very excited about working more closely with Mainstage, their engineering expertise is second to none our industry and that, in combination with VCL's design and programming skills, gives both firms a real edge in terms of what we can offer our clients in the future."

Mike Sweetland, managing director of Mainstage commented, "As Mainstage adds to its resources and capabilities our linkup with VCL is an exciting opportunity for us to explore new territory, to develop new ideas and begin to push the boundaries of innovation in our industry."

Butler Works is in a picturesque area on the edge of the historic city of Lancaster. It has good domestic and international connections, being close to the M6 motorway, with a high speed rail link from London to Lancaster and journey time of less than an hour to Manchester airport.
