Italy - SGM has added two vastly experienced personnel to its sales force as it seeks to increase its profile in the key export markets. Announced at the Prolight&Sound exhibition in Frankfurt, where the company unveiled seven new products, was the news that Troels V°lver has taken on the role of new export manager for North America and Asia Pacific, based in Denmark, while Steen V. Geertsen will operate in a similar area manager capacity, focusing on sales and business development of the SGM brand in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, Russia and part of the Arab regions.

Troels V°lver built up a large distributor network during his time in the industry and was CEO of Martin Professional Inc before leaving in 2005 to take up an export role with another Danish company.

With 25 years' experience in large-scale event staging already under his belt, Geertsen entered the lighting business in 1991 when he joined Martin Professional to work with business strategy and development of the Asian and key Latin America market segments.

After setting up world sales and distribution structure for the DJ and Club lighting sector in recent years Geertsen continued to work in business development within the IT and network consulting industry before joining SGM.

The move coincides with the company reaching a milestone in its product timeline - with the addition of an innovative series designed by the new R&D facility to complement the current product lines.

SGM's commercial director Giorgio Radice said: "Both Steen and Troels have great experience and will provide vital cogs in our commercial direction, as we seek to increase SGM's market share in key territories. I know that these important export markets will be in safe hands."
