Fully compliant with BS5853 pt8 EN60849/IEC60849 standards to allow use in the most demanding environments, the VX-2000 outstanding features include sophisticated failure detection measures that constantly check components and speaker lines for any faults or abnormalities which are brought to the notice of concerned personnel via visual and audio indications.
The VX-2000 features a scalable architecture and fully-modular configurability that is application-critical. It can accept a maximum of eight input slots for various input source modules, up to eight remote microphones, including four firemen's microphones, two voice announcement boards as well as a built-in announcement chime. Up to 50 output zones, using a maximum of five surveillance frames, can be administered.
The RM-200XF fireman's mic, provided as standard, can also function for acoustic monitoring and surveillance of the emergency microphone unit. In the event of failure there is a CPU cut-off switch on the fireman's mic, while an all-call function is still available.
System status can be confirmed at each remote microphone location - each mic may have priority set for it, but in emergency use the emergency microphone will assume priority and the status of other mics will not be indicated. The surveillance function of the VX-2000 is non-interruptive of programme material such as background music distribution and paging announcements.
Key features of the VX-2000 include its modular design with all required components provided, reduced time in planning with software control of all functions and reduced time in construction as connections are simplified. Other built-in features include 9-band graphic EQ, standby amplifier function, complete fault monitoring and reporting, time schedule functions for automatic control of messages and broadcast patterns and up to 305 programmable key function settings.
