Wireless Solution is the first company to introduce dual band technology for wireless lighting control in 2011. Now, the company takes this one step further and introduces triple band technology. As regulations change over time and now to cover the EU Region with higher output compared to the permitted 5.8GHz bandwidth, Wireless Solution now introduces 5.2GHz in all W-DMX BlackBox and ProBox units as standard (Patent pending USA and EU).
With the 5.2GHz frequency, the maximum allowed output power is 200mW, which will provide a distance of approximately 100mW output power on the 2.4GHz. This equals up to 500 meters distance in line of sight.
For the user of wireless lighting controls, this offers a huge advantage for indoor applications where the 2.4GHz frequency band experiences an ever-growing amount of public wireless traffic. Wireless Solution has listened to W-DMX clients and has now introduced new features, making it easier to use than ever before. The user can easily switch frequencies "on the fly" with the function button on the transmitter and all receivers will automatically respond.
Niclas Arvidsson, CEO of Wireless Solution says, "We are very excited to show the new triple band technology and debut it at Prolight + Sound. We know that users of this technology will appreciate the fact that we listen to what they want in our products and we deliver what they need. This development delivers an even more solid signal than previously and that gives our users an added layer of confidence and security."
Wireless Solution will be celebrating their 10-year anniversary during Prolight + Sound in Hall 11, stand D80. Visitors are invited to enter to win an iPad Air with 4G Modem inside. For those unable to attend Prolight + Sound, you can enter the contest online on the W-DMX facebook page at www.facebook.com/wirelessdmx.
