Wireless Solution Sweden is also showing the W-DMX IP65 Transceiver, which supports RDM. All W-DMX products offer talk-back function, and the plug and play solution can be set up in less then 60 seconds, the company says. W-DMX follows the standard of ETSI and FCC to cover the European and the North American market.
Last year's award winner, W-DMX Black Box is now available in its MK2 version with an improved design. Soon the OEM TRX PCB generation IV, which follows the UL regulations for the North American Market, will also be available, say the company. The latest version of W-DMX TRX PCB supports wireless updates of the software, both for the W-DMX unit and for the fixture via wireless DMX 512.
The company claims that W-DMX is the first unit to offer a true plug and play solution for wireless DMX 512 and supports up to 16 DMX 512 Universes. The system is robust against interference using adaptive FHSS, which changes frequency more than 1000 times every second. Added security is provided by TDMA, and every universe is protected with PIN codes.
The company also reports that in the period from May to September, more than 800 W-DMX units have been delivered. These have been involved in several prestige projects, through OEM clients and distributors around the world. Projects include both London and Copenhagen Opera houses, Television companies such as SVT (Sweden), Televisa (Mexico) and Yunnan Television (China); Also outdoor projects like Gradara Castle (Italy), Montreux Jazzfestival (Switzerland) and the baptising of then new SonyEricsson VO70 (VolvoOceanRace).
