In the five years since the company's creation, i-Pix's products have proved popular with lighting designers for concerts and live events - including forming the core of the design for Radiohead's 2008 world tour, and more recently as a key element of the Kick Off Celebration Concert for the 2010 Soccer World Cup in South Africa.
The current i-Pix product line-up includes the BB1 'building block' modular LED light-source, the BB4 LED washlight, the BB7 beamlight/washlight fixture, and the versatile Satellite.
"In our five year history, we have doubled our revenues year on year, and both our product range and expertise have increased," notes i-Pix founder Chris Ewington. "We have worked directly with lighting designers, and this connection has directly inspired many of our products. We also want to continue to offer an excellent support network for our users as we develop new product ideas and strengthen our core activity of manufacturing innovative, exciting products.
"This is why we are delighted to announce the appointment of White Light to handle our products in the UK. They have superb sales and support teams able to look after our users, and their London base means they are well placed to offer a local service for many of our customers working there and in the south of the country. While we will always be here to support our users and listen to their needs, we are greatly looking forward to working with Peter Threadgold and his team at White Light."
"Chris and his team at i-Pix have created a versatile range of LED lighting fixtures that have offered lighting designers untold new creative possibilities, that have already been involved in many remarkable lighting designs" comments White Light's sales director Peter Threadgold. "We are delighted that they are now joining the White Light family of products; we look forward to meeting and supporting i-Pix's existing users, and to introducing the product to many other lighting professionals across the full spectrum of the entertainment industry."
The new distribution agreement was announced at the 2010 ABTT Show. It covers the complete i-Pix range including new products soon to be released, and takes place with immediate effect.
